excel absolute range, keyboard short cut

When I was doing absolute or locking a range in EXECEL, I used to use the F4 key instead of $a1 etc.

Noe the F4 key does not work. is there another way to lock the range quickly or do I have do $a$1 etc

    Hi @Anne Pojman ,
    I suggest you check if your keyboard have Fn key, if yes please click Fn + F4 at the same time.
    If your keyboard doesn't have Fn key, I suggest you try to repair Office application:
