So, I have written a brief summary of the solution this issue. Please feel free to accept it as the answer, which would benefit others who also has similar issues in forum.
[Outlook for web, calendars and shared calendars drop downs disappear]
Issue: I have a user who uses outlook web using edge and when they load up the webpage and go to look at there calendars something strange happens. firstly there shared calendars do not load and the drop downs on the left hand side next to the calendar disappear after a brief moment.
Solution: This is what i Did to fix the issue. After some troubleshooting, this is what I did. Click 'Add calendar', then 'Add personal calendars'. You will see the user's email address, some broken images, and a button with 'Remove account', click that and the page goes back to where you can add a personal account. Close out, refresh the calendar, and you should be good to go. In my case, it looks like the user tried to add their work account to the same work account and Outlook didn't like that. Hopefully this will help you.
