Let’s back up your pc notification on startup

Just recently I keep getting this notification on every start up. I’ve googled and tried several so called methods but it still shows up every time I start the computer.

Very frustrating. Anybody know a sure fix to make this go away?

You can do this via Control Panel. Step 1: Type Control Panel in the Search box and click it to open it. Step 2: Go to Security and Maintenance > Change Security and Maintenance settings. Step 3: Under the Maintenance messages part, uncheck the Windows Backup box and click OK.

Kel's comment didn't work for me, but it seems very logical, so try that.

Ian Xue's comment helped me get a little closer, I think. Do Ian's suggestions, but also Go to Settings > System > Notifications & Actions and look at the "Get notifications from these senders" list, and turn off Windows Backup.

See if that helps.

I unchecked the Windows Backup box as described above and still get the notifications. Other suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Ron,

Thanks for your reply. Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions and uncheck Suggest ways I can finish setting up my device to get the most out of Windows option. This should turn off that screen.

Doesn't work. Followed the instructions, unchecked the box, still getting the message.

So I got the message again myself today! I went back into where I had posted the maintenance messages are and saw that the "Windows Backup" box was checked again so unchecked it and went to where Ian suggested- the "suggest ways I can finish setting up my device" and that box was still un-checked. I'm wondering if windows update re-checks the boxes.
