Can someone explain to me how to use Outlook's anonymous permissions?

What is anonymous option in the outlook permission setting (Outlook > right clicking Folder in the left pane > sharing and permissions > anonymous ).

Welcome to our forum!

As i know, Anonymous allows non-organization users to access a shared folder via its URL. That means, if they know the URL of this shared folder, they can access and view it even though they are not the users in the organization.

Do you mean how to open other's folder in Outlook, right?

If so:

For Outlook Web App, add another person’s mailbox to your folder list in Outlook Web App:

For Outlook desktop client, just click File>Open User's Folder>enter the email address and select the folder type:

Thanks ChristyZhang-MSFT for your answer ,How can I allow external users to view my folder except the calendar? And how can I allow an outside user to access and share my information? I need to gain extra knowledge in an anonymous setting in the new Outlook version.

As i know, we can only shared your mailbox within your organization, just like make someone your delegate: More information: Allow someone else to manage your mail and calendar.

Based on my research, i didn't find any official article mentioned how to user the anonymous access to share Outlook folders. As i mentioned above, we can only share your mailbox within your organization, just like make someone your delegate.
