Hello,
Here's a troubleshooting checklist:
- ping <QNAP_NAS_IP_ADDRESS>, to verify if your pc can communicate with NAS.
- Access the QNAP NAS admin console, check any settings there, ensure that NAS shares are configured and set to allow access from your Windows.
- Enable network discovery and file sharing (Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center) for public or private networks
- Check Windows Firewall settings to ensure rules are in place to allow inbound/outbound SMB traffic. You can create an exception for the SMB protocol or temporarily disable the firewall to test.
- Manually map the QNAP NAS share to your Windows PC by going to File Explorer, right-clicking 'This PC' or 'Computer', selecting 'Map network drive', and entering the path in the format
\\<QNAP_NAS_IP_ADDRESS>\<share_name>
.
