Suddenly, as of 3 days ago, I am no longer able to log in to outlook via the app on my pc. I use a hotmail address. It takes me to a setup screen then freezes. It works fine when I log in on my phone. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, it did not help.

    Hi @Dan Frick ,

    Welcome to our forum!

According to the screenshot you provided, i notice that you are using New Outlook for Windows, does this issue occur when you try to add the hotmail.com account to New Outlook? If so, how did you add the account?

If not, i notice that the issue occurred 3 days ago, have you done any specific operations before that?

In order to further confirm if the issue is related to New Outlook client, it's suggested that you could try to add other accounts to check if the error persists.

In addition, for the error "INVALIDCREDENTIAL CANCEL" you provided, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Remove all entries which has "Office" or "Outlook" in the name via Control Panel > Credential Manager > Windows credentials tab. User's image
    2. In windows Settings > Accounts > Access work or school, remove the account and add it again and then log in to check the result.
    3. I found a similar thread to yours which mentioned that it's useful to go to %appdata%\Microsoft and remove SystemCertificates folder, please refer to it. User's image

    Hope to help you!
