In my Lab Services (right to the question mark for help) I'm seeing two directories, one "default directory" and a second one.

Often the Lab Services UI opens with the second directory - and it doesn't contain any Labs, so I always have to switch to the default directory, before I can manage labs.

I would like to remove this unused directory - but how?

    Hello, @fgc !

How do I remove unused Azure directories?

The directories you see next to the ? in the Azure Lab Services portal are the same directories you'll see if you go to Directories + subscriptions in the Azure portal. If the tenant is truly unused and you would like to remove it, these are the instructions (otherwise you can look into other options such as leaving a tenant or switching default tenants):

When it comes to Deleting a tenant in Azure Active Directory, please make sure that the user you're logged in with is a Global Administrator, and that all the checks pass when you're trying to delete the tenant. For more info - Prepare the organization.

Note: These checks reduce the risk that deleting an Azure AD organization negatively affects user access, such as the ability to sign in to Microsoft 365 or access resources in Azure.

    Delete the organization:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal with an account that is the Global Administrator for your organization.
    2. Select Azure Active Directory.
    3. On a tenant's Overview page, select Manage tenants.
    4. Select the checkbox for the tenant that you want to delete, and then select Delete.
    5. If your organization doesn't pass one or more checks, you'll get a link to more information on how to pass. After you pass all checks, select Delete to complete the process.
