How to connect different Azure Id with Visual Studio 2022 Id

Can other people connect and use it with one ID(Tenant ID or Subscription ID, ...)?

( For Test Purpose )

Hi @KHSong , I noiced that you added Azure Key Vault tag under the question, and you mentioned "Can other people connect and use it with one ID". Can I understand that you stored secrets in Azure Key Vault and you want someone who doesn't have access permission to this secret to be able to access this secret only for test purpose? If so, I'm afraid we don't have perfect solution for those users who doesn't have permission, because Azure Key Vault is designed to be accessed for users have correct permission.

Normally speaking, we can use DefaultAzureCredential in asp.net core codes in VS to access the secrets. Just like you see in the section, the easiest way is granting permission to that user and let him sign into VS with that account, then DefaultAzureCredential will check VS signed-in account and help you authenticated to Azure KeyVault, then you only need to cancel the permission after the test.

If you don't like to manage user accounts, you can also use Managed Identity for test purpose, and cancel permission for Managed Identity after completing the test too.

Hello @KHSong

Open Visual Studio 2022 and sign in with your Microsoft account. - Go to "Tools" > "Options" > "Azure Service Authentication".

Click "Add an account..." to sign in with your Azure account. - Once signed in, navigate to "View" > "Cloud Explorer".

Expand "Azure" > Right-click "Subscriptions" > "Connect to Microsoft Azure Subscription".

Enter Subscription ID, Tenant ID, etc., to connect to the desired Azure subscription.

You can switch between Azure accounts by signing out and signing back in with a different account.

Now, you can access and manage Azure resources directly from Visual Studio 2022.
