WPF app not starting silently

Hi Folks,
I have this strange problem:
I created a new WPF project, when I press the Run button the app seems to start for bit, by briefly flashing a white screen and then immediately exists.
There are no errors flagged other than a return code of 0, I believe meaning the app exited properly.
I have tried looking in the events lists, no signs of my app there.
Can anybody please help me debug the cause of this?

The first step in debugging is reproducing the problem. We don't have the code. How do you expect the community to help debug?

2024-06-05T11:41:21.6733333+00:00 Because I do not think the problem is within the code I wrote if 'InitializeComponent()' is not reached (if I put a breakpoint there), so I figured since MY code starts at THAT point the problem is elsewhere before THAT point in the parts of the WFP start-up scope which I do not touch.

If you can't provide code to reproduce the problem, can you at least tells give us some basic information? Did the WPF application ever function as expected? If so, what code changes were recently made to the WPF project?
What framework does the project target? Core or .Net Framework? Also, what version does the WPF project target and is that version installed on your system?
Does the event viewer have any errors?

2024-06-06T14:31:07.5466667+00:00 If you follow and understand the arguments I put forward, you will understand why I can't provide the code to reproduce the problem. Otherwise start off by offering your counter arguments, disputing mine, which will teach us all.
However, in the mean time, I ported my code to .NET Core, and bingo as if by magic the app came into life without a single code change!
I am following on with this information in case someone else finds themselves in the same situation I did.
