New Outlook freezes when I try to turn off shared calendars

I am attempting to stop viewing group calendars in Outlook so that I see ONLY my calendar. Every time I select a group calendar that is currently showing, in order to "uncheck the box" so that it no longer shows the calendar, the New Outlook freezes up and I have to use Task Manager to close it down.

What can I do to remove this from my default view?

To delete a calendar in New Outlook, please follow these steps:

In Calendar, in the pane on the left, point at the name of the calendar you want to remove.

Also, for the case of New Outlook freezing, you may try to repair your outlook app and check if there is a difference. Go to Start>>Settings>>Apps>>Apps&features>>Outlook (new)>>Reset/Repair.

@SokiGuo-MSFT This is not the answer. This has been happening to me for years. I'll give you another use case. Let's say I want to search my calendars for a certain event to find when it occurred. I go the calendar page and use the search bar at the top of the screen using the keywords "planning meeting". That meeting happened a month ago so it should return that meeting in the list (please don't say this functionality doesn't exist because it does and it always worked just fine for me prior to this group calendar being added). When I search it, it does not find my event because it defaults to only searching the group calendar (you can see the group calendar is selected after the search completes). When I click on my main calendar to search that one instead, it changes the screen back to the main calendar page but with all calendars deselected. Because it deselects the group calendar it bugs out.

The issue is to do with a bug when you deselect a group calendar. Removing it is not an option because we need the group calendar, but sometimes I need to turn it off briefly and this does not allow me to. If it was just to do with viewing, I could deal with it, but since it affects my search capabilities, it is a pain. By the way, I am not using New Outlook due to issues with it, so this happens on both old and new.

@Rebecca Vadalabene I am having this same issue. I just want to temporarily uncheck a group calendar in order to see my day more clearly, not remove the group calendar. But when I uncheck the box for the group calendar, Outlook becomes unresponsive. The only work-around I've found is that it doesn't freeze if I click the "x" on the right side of the tab for the calendar,

rather than unchecking the box on the left-hand pane.
