I keep getting restart required messages in all my registered office products, and I have restarted the office apps and my computer many times, but it does not resolve the issue.

    Hello Jeremy

    Can you try these steps:

    1. Clear Office cache: Clearing the Office cache might resolve the issue. To do this:
      • For Windows 10: Press the Windows key + R, type %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0 (or the version number of your Office installation), and press Enter. Delete all files in this folder.
      • For Windows 7/8/8.1: Press the Windows key + R, type %appdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0 (or the version number of your Office installation), and press Enter. Delete all files in this folder.
    2. Check for conflicts with other applications: Some third-party applications might be interfering with Office. Try closing any unnecessary apps or background programs that might be causing conflicts.
    3. Disable add-ins: Add-ins can sometimes cause issues with Office. Try disabling all add-ins and see if the issue persists:
      • For Word/Excel: Go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage Add-ins, and select Disable all.
      • For Outlook: Go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage Add-ins, and select Disable all.
    4. Run the Office Deployment Tool: The Office Deployment Tool can help resolve issues with Office installations:
      • Download the Office Deployment Tool from Microsoft's website.
      • Run the tool as an administrator and follow the prompts to repair or remove any damaged components.
    5. System File Checker (SFC) scan: Run an SFC scan to check for corrupted system files:
      • Open Command Prompt as an administrator (right-click on Start button and select "Run as administrator").
      • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
