Regarding the message "Remote storage is required for Webjob operations"

Question

I suddenly got the message "Regarding the message "Remote storage is required for webjob operations" on my webjobs dashboard.

I confirm that it did not appear as of yesterday.

I would like to know what to do about this as I am no longer able to add and refresh operations.

Cause Analysis:

• This is because remote shared storage is required for webjobs to run, but the default setting is disabled for Linux containers. See Environment variables and app settings reference - Azure App Service | Microsoft Learn about WEBSITES_ENABLE_APP_SERVICE_STORAGE.

Suggestion:

• Go to “Environment variables”, and add a setting “WEBSITES_ENABLE_APP_SERVICE_STORAGE” with value “true”. Then you will see the “+Add” button back to work.
