We have an older application that is not accepting numeric input in certain controls. In doing some investigation, it was determined that setting the remote keyboard layout to "US (QWERTY)" allows entry for the controls. Rather than having end users go into the settings of the client (which is lost across browsers/machines) we'd like to figure out a way to "force" this setting. Is there a cmdlet or some other way we can have the HTML 5 client always use that keyboard? Thanks, Tim

It sounds like the default is limited to always being "Auto", which states "Works well in most cases" but acknowledges "does not work for all apps" and doesn't have any option for administrative control. Perhaps even an option of "Remote - Uses the remote machine's keyboard settings" might be worth considering since we've determined that works.

When we roll this out, even if we forewarn users, there will inevitably be a number that do not modify this setting initially and will generate support requests when they are unable to enter information in controls. In addition, even those who set this on one machine will again need to encounter the error to remind them to select the setting again. To do so they'll need to end that connection, set the setting, and reconnect.

While this claims to be a "user" selection, it does not follow the user across browsers or machines, so in reality, it is a user selection per browser instance, most likely stored in cookies so it's potentially lost if the user clears cache, etc. This will be very problematic when we deploy to the user base.

Since our parent organization is a rather large Microsoft customer, what method should we use to open a request for consideration that this be a managed behavior that can be set for large deployments? In addition, is there perhaps a public GitHub repository for the HTML 5 client's code so we can get an understanding of how this setting is read and stored?
