My Azure SQL Managed Instance's Zone Redundancy was disabled without notice in West US 3

My Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQLMI) in the region 'West US 3' was previously configured with Zone Redundancy, but it appears to be disabled now. I can't find a way to enable it again, even though the support matrix still indicates that SQLMI Zone Redundancy is supported in West US 3. Additionally, I'm unable to create a new SQLMI in West US 3 with Zone Redundancy. Is anyone aware of any current Azure issues or maintenance that might be causing this?

It seems like you’re experiencing issues with enabling Zone Redundancy for your Azure SQL Managed Instance in the ‘West US 3’ region. Raising a support request so we can evaluate would be what I would suggest.

@Oury Ba-MSFT It appears that the support service was discontinued because the "Azure Support Plan Offer" is no longer available. I am seeking additional details on how to reinstate the support service. However, zone redundancy remains disabled on my SQL Managed Instance. I am wondering if zone redundancy has been removed from the WEST US 3 region, or if this issue is specific to my SQLMI. Thank you for your attention.

The existing Azure Support offer has been discontinued on June 30, 2024. Beginning July 1, 2024, all customers who do not already have a paid support plan (Microsoft Unified, ProDirect support, etc.) will need to purchase a support plan if they wish to maintain technical support coverage. Customers will retain access to the subscription management and billing support services available to all Azure customers at no charge.

Customers wishing to transact support on their Enterprise Agreement should contact their Microsoft representative or partner.

Customers wishing to transact support on their Microsoft Customer Agreement, can purchase support online in the Azure Portal.

The webpage has been updated on July 1, 2024 to note that the promotional offer has come to an end."

Regarding the Zone Redundancy issue, it might be specific to your SQL Managed Instance.

West us 3 is supported region but some types of subscriptions are not supported when deploying Managed Instances dbs.

You can check through support ticket why it was disabled for your account.
