Header option in Sharepoint similar to Box

Question

Hi,

Is there a way to have a header in Sharepoint similar to what Box has? I'm having issues with files taking forever to load in Sharepoint and I want to open them in the actual Excel app anyways, so instead of waiting until the file loads, if it had a similar header, I could directly click on Open -> Excel app and not have to wait.

I'm including a picture so it's easier to see what header I'm referring to.

Based on your post, I understand that you want to file opened in the client application by default.

1.Manually by UI. Right click the file -> Open -> Open in app.

2.Go to Site settings -> Site collection features -> Activate Open Documents in Client Applications by Default feature.

3.Go to the Library settings -> Advanced settings -> In the Opening Documents in the Browser section, change the radio button to Open in the client application.
