Hello,

I cannot register my apple ipad pro (7th generation, 2024, OS 17.6.1) in Intune Company Portal. The registration is running and while the device settings are being confirmed it suddenly goes through quickly and it seems to be finished for now.

There is also nothing unusual in the Endpoint Manager, everything says “Compatible”.

However, in the Company Portal app it says that the device is not registered and when I check the status it always aborts and the same message appears.

what could be the problem? on other test devices (iPhones) the registration ran without any problems.

    Hi @K-Mohammed

    thanks for your quick response

    here are the answers

    • we use intune here in the company to have access to teams, outlook etc. on mobile devices. I used it to do the enrollment by installing the app on the ipad. that's how we always do it with ios and so far it has always worked.
    • the limit is 8 devices per user, this would be my 4th device
    • there is no error in the troubleshooting section. Just in the teams app for example the error code 53003
    • yes it works. I tested it on different devices

@Esile-1448, Thanks for posting in Q&A.

From your description, I know you have trouble in enrolling your iPad Pro in Intune via company portal.

Here are some suggestions you can refer to fix the issue.

1.Please check if there exist Conditional Access policy in Intune that may block enrollment.

2.Please check if we allow the iOS enrollment in Devices > Enroll devices > enrollment restrictions.

3.If possible, please factory reset the iPad and try to re-enroll again to see if the issue can be fixed.

Please try above information, if there is any update, feel free to let me know.

@ZhoumingDuan-MSFT @K-Mohammed the error was solved and i was able to register the ipad successfully in intune. the problem was very strange. it didn't work all the time because i had too many devices registered in my name and intune reached a device limit. I have 4 active devices but I had 20 inactive devices where I had previously logged in for testing etc. I have removed these 20 inactive devices from my user account in Azure. Afterwards, the registration on the iPad worked immediately.

    Many thanks for your help.
