Hi,

I am trying to login to my son's school email account so he can login to his school homework website (FireFly). On Firefly it is not giving me the option to login with his school email and seems to default to the personal email registered on the Microsoft accounts. I went to add a school account on the laptop settings but I get the error code 80192EE7 and Your account was not set up on this device because device management could not be enabled.

Please can you help me to overcome this problem?

Thanks

    Hello @Sonny De La Motta,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

Based on your description, I understand you are trying to log in to your son's school homework website (Firefly) using the school email address. On the Firefly website, it is not prompting for work or school credentials, but instead offering the option to enter Microsoft personal account credentials. Could you let me know what happens when you try to log in using your Microsoft account credentials on the Firefly website?

When you try to add a work or school account to a device by navigating to System settings >> Accounts >> Access work or school account >> Connect. This method will register the device with Microsoft Entra if it is unmanaged.

Based on the error message 80192EE7, this issue occurs when a user tries to join or register a Windows device that falls under the scope of the MDM Enrollment policy. During device registration, the token may include information about automatic enrollment in Intune, which can cause a failure if the user does not have an Intune license assigned.

If the user doesn't have an Intune license, they should not be included in the MDM Enrollment policy scope. To resolve this issue, you can either assign an Intune license to the user or adjust the MDM Enrollment policy scope to include only users with Intune licenses.

To do this, navigate to portal.azure.com > Microsoft Entra ID > Mobility (MDM and WIP) > Microsoft Intune.User's image

You may also contact the school's IT team to either remove the user from the Intune scope or assign the required license to allow the device to enroll through Intune.

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
