Outlook for Mac - Reply Spacing + Pin Issues

Hi there,

I've been using Outlook for years, but I just got a new laptop, so I did a new install on the new machine (Macbook Pro)

However, there are two issues I am facing:

I can no longer PIN items
1. Per other threads on this topic, adjusting the filters to be "newest on top" and "sort by date" did not fix the issue.
No space when replying
1. When I reply to an email, there is NO space for me to type. It puts the "FROM" right at the top with no space to write, and if I press "return" to add space, it just adds a bunch of lines (screenshot attached)

For better research, please provide more details about this case:

What is the Outlook client version?

Does your client have an option to pin messages? Or that the options are grayed out. Can it be pinned by right-clicking?

Can you reply to a message by manually selecting the location of the input?

I am having the same issue. New computer and I just uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook (on a Mac / Sequoia OS).

I think I may have found a work around fix for the spacing issue:

Outlook / Settings
Composing
Then under Replies/Forwards; Attribution of original message
Choose "Custom" (you can leave what is prefilled).

It will change the look from the full address info to

which I actually like better, takes up less space. Then you can just arrow up and reply.
