Hi all,

I have a problem when power automate flow edited:

Select an action, "Excel online for business" --> "Update row".

Using variable to apply into File location && Sheet data but can't find excel column in advanced variable.

If using file browser to choice File location and Sheet data, it work fine.

Is this possible to using variable applying ? Or is it a limitation of this action ?!

Please reply , sincerely thanks.

    Hi Yu-Kai Chiu (邱郁凱)

Thank you for your patience. After testing on our end, we found that using the "Get rows" action to retrieve column names first resolves the issue. Once retrieved, you can use the dynamic content in the "Update row" action to map the column values.

    Please ensure:

    1. The File Location and Sheet Name variables are correctly set to the right file and sheet.
    2. Your data is in a table format, as the "Update row" action requires this to reference columns.

We tried this approach on our end, and it's working fine. Kindly refer to the screenshot below for your reference.User's image If you are still facing any issue, please let us know in the comments and where you are encountering this error along with the screenshot for reference.
