Unable to Change User Level in Azure DevOps

Experiencing issues when attempting to change the user level in Azure DevOps From Stakeholder to Basic. The changes keep failing, and there is no reference or support available to resolve this issue. What steps can be taken to troubleshoot or rectify this situation?

NOTE: I'm the owner of the Organization.

Can you try clearing the cache and cookies in your browser. Then Azure DevOps again. Once you have signed in, please click onto Project settings > Permissions > Users > Select the user you want to change

Once you have opened the user's profile up. You can see permissions, or member of. You will want to click onto the group you wish to remove them from, then click remove.

You can choose to add them to another group through the add option. Then select which group you wish to add the user to. You can customize the individual permissions the user has through the permissions tab. Hi there, Nathan,

Thanks for answering. It seems it still doesn't work. The main issue was that we've added the new user to specific projects; however, they do not have access to the repository for those projects (all repositories are already existing). Upon reviewing, it was stated that he should have a basic access level rather than stakeholder access.

I had a look on mine, but the only way I could do this is add the user manually by going to Project settings > Repositories > Security

Then add the user manually or add the custom group they are in (e.g. in my project, I created a group Stakeholders which I can add permissions for the repository). On the security page, there was no way of adding stakeholders to the list. Unless you go to Organisation settings > Permissions > Select the group the user is in > Member of

Then add them to the reader role which should allow them access to the repository.
