2024-08-16T06:33:10+00:00 Hi Jonathan,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.
The Surface Go 2 is a compact device with a tightly integrated design, making it challenging to access the internal components.
The Surface Go 2's internal design is not intended for user access or modifications. Disassembling the device to replace thermal paste requires specialized tools and expertise to avoid damaging sensitive components. Opening the Surface Go 2 and attempting to replace thermal paste may void the warranty.
If you're experiencing thermal issues, it might be worth exploring other solutions first, such as using a cooling pad or ensuring that the device is in a well-ventilated area.
For most users, addressing thermal issues through proper ventilation and ensuring the device is kept clean might be the safest approach. What to do if Surface is running slower - Microsoft Support
I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Your Sincerely
