combat flight simulator 2 will not work

I just bought this game at a yard sale what do I need to do to make it work on vista?       combat flight simulator 2 WWII pacific theater

My cfs 2 dosn't even run.

i put in disk 1 and it makes a weird noise and does nothing.

I've got a problem that CFS2 will not install on my Windows XP system. It dies while checking disk space requirement. XP is version 5.1.2600 service pack 3 build 2600.

1. Did you install the game, was the installation successful?
2. Do you have problem while installing the game or playing the game?
3. If you have problem while playing, then what exactly happens, do you get any error message?
4. If you have problem while installing, then what exactly happens, do you get any error message?

The game does not seem to be compatible with Windows Vista, here is the link to check compatibility.
