The TCP Echo Server sample work great. However, I have a requirement where I need my Azure Sphere device as a TCP client. I modified the private network services sample application to work as a client (commented out Echo TCP Server) but the connection to the TCP server at PC fails. I have configured the network services at azure sphere device with static ip.

I too have modified the code as mentioned in this link https://stackoverflow.com/questions/60814693/unable-to-use-azure-sphere-device-as-tcp-client And added the destination ip in app_manifest under allowedconnections and kept same port on both devices. Still i get socket connect as -1. My server device ip is 192.168.100.9 and client device ip is 192.168.100.10. Trying to connect from client to server. Set ip 192.168.100.9 in app_manifest. Still cant figure out the issue. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Did you also add the NetworkConfig capability to the app manifest?

Azure Sphere device can be configured as a TCP client over Ethernet (eth0). Please ensure that the destination is in the app manifest under Allowed Connections.
