Cloud Cache - slow SMB location

Hi, we are using cloud cache for our mobile devices with a local storage destination on drive c and one on our server. When the second location is offline everything works fine with good response times. When we are working from home with a limited bandwith to the second destination the second cloud location freezes the system extremely. Is there a way to limit the bandwith especially for the office container? There is a update running every 15 seconds which transfers 4MB and that causes the problem. Any suggestions?
