FSLogix Profile Containers and Apex One in VDI

Has any one successfully deployed Apex One with FSLogx Profile Constrainers? We are running non persistent instant clones in a VMware VDI environment, with FSLogix Profile Containers. We recently installed Trend Micro's Apex One on our golden image, and login times on our instant clones have increased from ~30 seconds to over 15 minutes. The "Please wait for the FSLogix Apps Service" is the page loads for the longest during login, with the other highly detailed status messages acting normal.

We are excluding the following in the Apex One management console -

Directories:
C:\Program Files\FSLogix

Files:
%ProgramFiles%\FSLogix\Apps\frxccd.exe
%ProgramFiles%\FSLogix\Apps\frxccds.exe
%ProgramFiles%\FSLogix\Apps\frxsvc.exe
%TEMP%*.VHD
%TEMPT%*.VHDX
%Windir%\TEMP*.VHD
%Windir%\TEMP*.VHDX
\server\share*.vhdx

File Extensions:
VHD
VHDX

    I've been running FSLogix and Apex One for a while now, and have never seen the issue you describe. Here's how it's configured in my environment:

    Environment
    XenServer 7.1 LTSR CU2
    CVAD 1912 LTSR CU2 (using PVS, non-persistent)
    Citrix App Layering
    Windows 10 1909 (FSLogix Apps 2.9.7349.30108)
    Windows 10 20H2 (FSLogix Apps 2.9.7654.46150)

    Apex One Settings
    Trusted Program List:

    • C:\Program Files\FSLogix\Apps\frxsvc.exe
    • C:\Program Files\FSLogix\Apps\frxccds.exe

    Scan Exclusions:

    • C:\Program Files\FSLogix

    We exclude all .vhdx file scanning on our SAN share, as well. Are you running TCacheGen as the last step in your sealing process for Apex One? I highly doubt that would cause the 15 minute delay, but it should be done regardless.

    Hello @Ryan Coen

    1. Please first upgrade Fslogix to the newest version;
    2. Making the AV in exclusion list;
    3. Also check if windows defender is active;
    4. Notice any Event Viewer - errors/warnings;
    5. Check what the profile log tell you. C:\ProgramData\FSLogix\Profile

    Best Regards
    Karlie
