Hello, sometimes when I use Roblox Studio for prolonged times, or I leave the application on idle, my screen will tear and burn with the ui from the application.

link above because Microsoft cant import an image ^

I tried to restart and shut down my computer, however none of this worked. I went into display settings and turned the refresh display from 144 to 60Htz, and the screen began flickering rapidly. So it appears its not a screen burn from prolonged use. However, the only solution I have is to wait for the "glitch" to fade away, as it usually takes 1 or 2 hours. I have no idea what could be causing this.

I use a Legion Pro 5.

    Hi, Alex Bandosz

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you are having issues with screen tearing and UI residuals while using Roblox Studio.  Looking at the images you provided, this issue may be related to the following reasons:Graphics card driver issue: driver incompatibility or bugs.Graphics card overheating: Prolonged high load operation may cause the graphics card to overheat.Monitor refresh rate issue: unstable refresh rate may cause screen flickering or tearing.Software conflict: Roblox Studio conflicts with other software may cause display issues. It is recommended that you try the following steps for troubleshooting:I.Update the graphics card driver:- Open Device Manager (press Win + X and select “Device Manager”).- Open Device Manager (press Win + X and select “Device Manager”). Expand the “Display Adapters” option, right-click on your graphics card and select “Update Driver”.- Select “Automatically search for updated driver software”. Alternatively, visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer (e.g. NVIDIA or AMD) to download and install the latest drivers.IICheck the temperature of the graphics card:- Use monitoring software such as HWMonitor, Gpu-Z or MSI Afterburner to check the temperature of your graphics card. If the temperature is too high, consider cleaning the dust inside the computer or adding additional cooling measures.III. Disable VSYNC or enable G-SYNC/FreeSync:- In the graphics card control panel (e.g., NVIDIA control panel or AMD Radeon settings), try enabling or disabling VSYNC, or if your monitor supports G-SYNC or FreeSync, enable the feature.Check and adjust Roblox Studio settings:- Try lowering the graphics settings in Roblox Studio to reduce the load on your graphics card.- Make sure Roblox Studio is the latest version.IV.Check system files:

    • Open a command prompt (administrator mode) and run the following command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth SFC /Scannow
    • This will scan and repair system files.V. Adjust Windows power settings:- Open “Control Panel”, select “Power Options”.- Select the “High Performance” power plan to ensure that the system provides enough power when under high load. VI.Perform a clean boot

    The method is as follows

    1. Click Windows+R and enter msconfig
    2. Open System Configuration, select the General tab-Selective Startup.
    3. Uncheck the option to load startup items.
    4. Go to the Services tab-click Hide all Microsoft services in the lower left corner, and then click Disable all.
    5. Click OK and restart the computer. (Please be sure to select Hide all Microsoft services first, then click Disable all, otherwise it may cause unforeseen problems such as being unable to enter the system)

    Check if the problem recurs.

Note: A clean boot starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if background programs are interfering with your games or programs and help you find the cause of the problem. It will help you get back on track.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track. If the problem persists, you may want to consider a system restore or reset to make sure it's not the system itself. If possible, try checking for similar issues in other drawing or 3D applications to determine if the problem is specific to Roblox Studio. If none of the above methods work, it is recommended to contact Lenovo's technical support or Roblox Studio's technical support for more specialized assistance. Please feel free to ask any further questions.

    Best Regards
