Hi ___.xx.simrit_.xx,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Forum Community. We will try to provide you best possible information and assistant in our forum community.

According to your description and error message about “Administrator has disabled chat for one or more users”, it seems like that for Office 365 user, the Office administrator has disabled such chat options under the Team admin center from Office 365 admin center.

So, if you are not Office admin, we would like to suggest you to kindly contact to Office administrator of your organization, they can help you to enable Chat options for you from their side. Because, organization admin may restrict or make such custom policy for such features and assign it to user for MS Teams from the Office admin center. Here is the detailed information article: Manage messaging policies in Teams

Here are the example screenshot for your reference (to enable chat option for user from Team admin center):

We are truly appreciating your cooperation and understanding in our forum community.

Regards,

Darpan
