Is there any update on when Microsoft will finally push out a reliable version of teams that runs on Mac M1 chips? There is absolutely no excuse that it's taken more than six months and still nothing. Teams is already a hot buggy mess, and having it run through a Rosetta filter on top of that is leading to all sorts of issues -- from uncommanded network reconfigurations and call drops, to unexplained errors ("we've run into a problem"), and trouble completing updates. I, and hundreds of thousands of customers like me, simply need Microsoft to do better.

    Hi,

What does it mean when run in browser ? Is there also some kind of emulation when it runs in a native browser ?

    It's just a web app.

Well, it does not answer the question. The sentence is not clear (available as a rosetta app and in the browser) We can make videocalls from Teams in Microsoft Edge running natively on M1. I don't know if it is processed without emulation, though, the fact it is running in the browser does not prevent threads / subprocesses to be emulated. See Excel , it is a native app, sometimes notifying that "features in the workbook needs rosetta emulation"

    Hi Mohd_Zafar,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

You see the issue as the MS Teams app is not yet completely support the M1 chip Macbook.

Microsoft is improving the user experience of MAC users, Microsoft Teams is currently available in Rosetta emulation mode on Macs with M1 and the browser

I would like to share an article from Microsoft. Here is the link

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/b...

If you wish MS Team is optimized for the M1 processor, then feel free to submit your vote here to the developer team regarding the request:

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Regards

    Nik
