opening email when using multiple displays

I have an external display attached to my laptop. I have the main Outlook application displayed on the external display. When I open an email from my Inbox, it opens on the laptop display instead of the same external display where the Outlook program is running. This is very annoying. Is there a way to have messages open  in the same window as Outlook?

I’m unfortunately not sure there is much you can do about it.

I suspect Outlook uses the “main” display when you open an e-mail.

One solution might be to change which display is the main in your System preferences (move the menu bar from the laptop to the secondary display in the prefpane), but I’m not sure that’s what you want to do :-\
