I changed my main alias 2 weeks ago and deleted the old one. But now I need to get that alias back because I cant receive an e-mail sent to that account. I tried to add that old alias back but it can not be done because that alias was reserved. How can I get my old alias back?

Hi,

I'm Donata, an independent advisor. If you have removed the alias, it has been completely deleted and cannot be recovered. Microsoft doesn't recycle email addresses, so you can't recreate an account with the same name and domain, nor can you re-add the account as an alias. I'm sorry. See the last note of this article: https://support.microsoft.com/help/12407

You can only access your account if an alias is linked to it, by logging in through that alias.

Kind regards.

Once an alias has been deleted it can never be retrieved. You would have seen a warning message telling you that when you deleted it.
