I am trying to print in landscape, when it Excel spreadsheet prints it is still in portrait and is only part of what is being printed. It prints about two to three letters of the first word. What do I need to do to fix this? I am just a beginner with this, so any detailed answers or suggestions would be helpful

Verify if this occurs with all Excel files or with one particular file?

Check if the data is set on the print area. Click on the link below to know more about set print area:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HP100215421033.aspx

Also try changing the default printer and check if the issue still persists.

For more information on how to change the default printer refer the link below:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Change-your-default-printer

If changing the default printer works try uninstalling re-installing and updating your printer drivers

The option needs to be set for each sheet in a workbook if you are using the command Page Layout, Orientation, Landscape.

I believe you can set it as the printer default but that will effect everything.

Regarding the first 3 letters of a word - If you best fit your columns that should not be a problem.  You can best fit columns by putting your mouse between the column letters and double-clicking when you see a black line with two-headed arrow.

I'm currently having the same problem with excel, the document doesn't print completely in landscape, i.e. it only prints 1 column instead of the selected 12 columns.  I didn't encountered same problem in printing word document in landscape.  I'm also using an HP all-in-one officejet printer.  Not sure whether it's just coincidence but the problem started when the printer had a low ink level.  Can anyone please help?
