When I try to 'clear' a filter I get this annoyingly stubborn message 'Fixed Objects will Move'

  1. I have selected F5 and removed all fixed objects and,
  2. have also removed all Comments

The error message continues to appear. I click on 'OK' many times but the message does not go.

All my work is stuck!

What do I do?

Hello! From Main Excel Menu: Options\Advanced and in the "Cut, copy and paste" area remove the tick for "Cut, copy and sort inserted objects with their parent cells!

No personal experience with this issue here, but it's been said that it may be linked to the freeze panes option. Try to  un-freeze panes and apply filters to see if the error does not occur.

    Thanks for the heads-up

Using Office 365 (2016) had this issue, had not used "Freeze Frames" on the sheet in question myself, but perhaps some else did (its shared). I turned "Freeze Frames" on and then off again and it cleared the issue.
