I'm working in word and not sure why when selecting a line it seems to select the line above it as well always. Brand new user, and must have selected or changed something. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

How are you selecting the text line?

For example, are you clicking in the left margin?

Have you tried with a different mouse?

Also, what do you mean by "trackers" which you mentioned in another reply? If you are referring to tracked changes, which display options have been selected for tracked changes? Which type of changes are in your document (for example, insertions, deletions)? These factors will affect what is available to be selected.

    I might be.

Usually I don't have any problems when trying to select a single or multiple lines but I've been making changes and copping a lot. and then making changes.

It also looks like I might have some how used trackers and i have no idea how or what they are.
