TSI Explorer - No Events in Environment with IoT hub source

I created a Time Series Insight and added an IoT hub as my source:

The consumer group matches my IoT Hub endpoint, but I still see the following error:

I also see this box sit in my screen forever:

Is this something that I've missed on my IoT hub connections? Is there more to routing the events than adding the IoT hub as an event source? Or is something delayed on the TSI creation side?

Hello @Marc We are investigating this issue, please let us know the information such as Tier, Capacity, location

Also please confirm if your IoThub is receiving the Telemetry data. You may quickly use the RaspberryPi Web simulator to test this.

I am on Tier S1- Standard, Central US. I'm not sure how/where to find the capacity.

Yes, the Pi messages get through, although it also appears as though my current telemetry data is getting through (been sitting steady at around ~60 messages/hour since I set it up this afternoon).

But shouldn't my devices show up in my TSI explorer REGARDLESS of how the messages are set up? I see nothing - says 'This environment has no events...' and 'This environment has no time series instances'.

Can you please confirm that you are sending data?
If you are sending data, can you double-check if you created any Route in IoT Hub? We read data from the built-in endpoint, but when you create a Route, by default IoT Hub stops sending data to that endpoint: Understand Azure IoT Hub message routing | Microsoft Learn. If you are using routes, you need to make sure you are sending data to the built-in endpoint:

"Built-in endpoint as a routing endpoint"

You can use standard Event Hubs integration and SDKs to receive device-to-cloud messages from the built-in endpoint (messages/events). Once a Route is created, data stops flowing to the built-in-endpoint unless a Route is created to that endpoint."

@QuantumCache worked with me on this.

The biggest issue was that I had a custom route as an endpoint. I was trying to send a message to output using the defaults:

await module_client.send_message(msg)

Once I removed that endpoint, messages arrived properly. There are a lot of finicky elements of the json message string (see here) to ensure they are plotted properly with the correct timestamp.
I also had issues because the "Refresh" button built into the browser isn't great - it seems to only refresh the times, not the actual data sources. So my data wasn't showing up until I closed the TSI and re-opened it.
