Power Automate Approval Function

Question

Hello,

I am currently using SharePoint lists and PowerAutomate to do request approvals for my team .
For the past couple of months using it it was running fine.
However, yesterday we had one our team members submit request but the approval flow only
initiated 24hrs later. I have the flow set up to run as soon as a new item is created.

I looked at the running flows and it was not their either.

Does anyone know why this happened and what work around can I implement to prevent this.
