Hello, Over an hour ago my I started receiving alerts from my Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible server service. The cause appears that all databases are no available anymore, as the Databases section in Azure Portal lists:
Failed to load PostgreSQL flexible server databases.
From the Resource Health page I got several notices on the following:
Reason: UnknownReason (Unplanned)
Status: Unavailable
Last update: Your Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible server is currently unavailable. We are working to resolve the problem.
This sounds like it's not something I can do anything about. But still, I've tried all default and recommended steps. Including, but not limited to:
- Reboot PostgreSQL server from Azure portal
- Following recommended steps from Troubleshooting tool + Resource health page
- Checking Activity Log
- Metrics were all OK, no high cpu/memory/storage. But "Database availability" suddenly dropped completely to "0" (see screenshot below).
- Enabled/disabled firewall to check connectivity
- There was an upgrade done +24 hours ago. No problem before that.
- Suspicious that the problem started exactly at 18:15:00 (GMT +1), according to the health history - and is still ongoing
- Global Azure Status does not show an error (yet)
Simply put: nothing changed at the DB end or at our end causing this. It seems Azure availability related?
From what I can find online, the only way to resolve this - at least from what I read from others - is to somehow get in contact with support and have them reset something in the background.
So I hope support is reading along and can contact me a.s.a.p. Otherwise, still appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
