Following a hack, I obtained full access to my email account, but now my email is on a blocked list so emails cannot be delivered. How can I get it off the blocked-list?

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Can I ask what email address do you have, is it an Outlook.com/Hotmail.com address or something else? Also, I need to know what is blocking you, what is the exact bounce-back error message you receive when an email fails to send?

If messages from the account are being blocked when sending to Microsoft 365/Outlook.com recipients, removal depends on what exactly is blocked:

    1. If the sending IP address is on Microsoft’s blocked senders list (NDR 5.7.606–649)
      1. Open the Office 365 Anti-Spam IP Delist Portal: https://sender.office.com.
      2. Enter the email address that received the non-delivery report (NDR) and the source IP address shown in the error (for example, in an NDR like 550 5.7.606-649 Access denied, banned sending IP [x.x.x.x]).
      3. Submit the request.
      4. Open the confirmation email sent to that address and use the link to return to the portal.
      5. In the portal, select Delist IP.
      6. It can take up to 24 hours or longer before restrictions are fully removed.
After delisting, ensure messages are not abusive or malicious; otherwise the IP can be blocked again.
    2. If the NDR shows error 5.7.511
      1. Follow the instructions in the NDR text. Typically it will say something like: 550 5.7.511 Access denied, banned sender[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]. To request removal from this list, forward this message to delist@microsoft.com.
      2. Forward the full NDR (including the complete error and IP) to delist@microsoft.com.
      3. Wait for Microsoft to respond (usually within 48 hours) with next steps.
    3. If this is about Outlook.com (consumer) sender reputation
      1. Use the Outlook.com delisting/support form referenced for consumer accounts.
      2. Read the FAQ for submission guidance, then submit the form with details of the issue and the affected Outlook.com address.

In all cases, after delisting, review the account for any remaining compromise indicators (rules, forwarding, or malicious behavior) so it does not get blocked again.
