For the past 5 days, I have clicked on WINDOWS Update but it is not updating at all.

This is what I read when the updates fails: 2026-06 Preview Update (KB5095093) (26200.8737)

Install error - 0x80070306

Thank you for your professional advice.

    Hi,

Please try the method posted by @BryceSor.

If that doesn't help, I'd suggest waiting for the July 14, 2026 Cumulative Update.

The update "June 23, 2026—KB5095093 (OS Builds 26200.8737 and 26100.8737) Preview" you're trying to install is an optional update. It can be safely skipped.

To turn off Preview updates, open Settings > Windows Update and turn off the "Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available" option.

Please also post your OS build number. You can find that by running winver.exe.

    Hi M. Caroline Burry,

Go to Windows\SoftwareDistribution and delete the files in the download folder. reboot and try Windows Update again.

You could also download KB from here and try manually to install it. https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx?filter=latest

If that still fails let us know.
