A cloud-based service included in Microsoft 365, delivering scalable messaging and collaboration features with simplified management and automatic updates.
Dear @Tech Cloud'S,
Based on the latest Microsoft licensing updates, your understanding is correct. Microsoft has increased the mailbox storage for eligible Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium licenses from 50 GB to 100 GB. As a result, users who only require a 100 GB primary mailbox can continue using these Microsoft 365 Business licenses and do not need an Exchange Online Plan 2 license solely for additional mailbox capacity.
However, please note that Exchange Online Plan 2 may still be required if you need specific Plan 2 features, such as advanced archiving or compliance capabilities, as these features are not included simply because the mailbox size has increased.
Additionally, the mailbox size increase is being rolled out by Microsoft and may not appear immediately for all tenants. I recommend verifying the mailbox quota in the Exchange Admin Center before making any licensing changes.

I hope this helps! Thank you for your patience and understanding. I appreciate your continued trust.
