I am at my wits end with MS Authenticator. I cannot set up my 365 work email on my phone or office pc because I keep getting a message asking for a code from my authenticator. No code shows up.

I am in an endless cycle of getting this insane message telling me to enter the code generated by the MS Auth. THERE IS NEVER A CODE.

do you mean expecting a pop-up on your phone from the MS authenticator app, asking you to approve access or rather a 6 digit code that should/would be shown in the authenticator app itself for the specific service?

Any other service you use for login using the same app? I have already more than 20 or so... so I can see all of them rotating the new code each 30 secs (clicking : show codes" underneath the 3-dots option menu on the top right in the app, should show all codes and them being rotated).
