Hello,

I am experiencing Outlook crashing when trying to open a shared mailbox.

Steps that I have tried to do to solve the issue:

  1. disable cache mode / and run in safe mode.
  2. remove and re-add send as permissions.
  3. ensuring Outlook is current with updates

The shared mailbox does function normally with OWA but need to be functioning in Outlook desktop.

    Hi @tonyn0870

    Please try the following:

    1. On the File tab, click Account Settings in the Account Settings list.
    2. In the Account Settings dialog box, click the E-mail tab and then double-click your Microsoft Exchange Server account.
    3. In the Change Account dialog box, click More Settings.
    4. In the Microsoft Exchange dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
    5. Click to clear the Download shared folders check box.

    Hi @tonyn0870

Try removing automapping from the shared mailbox:

I'm having the exact same issue. It only happens to one user, and only when they click on the "Inbox" folder of the shared mailbox; clicking on any other folders in said mailbox does not crash Outlook. @tonyn0870 Were you ever able to resolve this issue?

Hi, a user in our company is also experiencing the same issue with Outlook desktop client. Tried installing different versions of Office Suites and on different computer, created new user profile, re-adding user permissions didn't help.

Wondering if you got any MS support response on this issue? Thank you.
