Reports refresh intervals

The reports in the Downloads hub section of the Insights workspace are refreshed at various intervals. Certain reports undergo major updates every fiscal month, with the refresh period specified. For instance, the Azure usage report for the fiscal month of June 2025 will be refreshed and made available after the fifth of the following month, which is July 5, 2025.

Note

Datasets refreshed by fiscal month do not include data from the last 30 days when downloaded. For instance, June's data will only be available after the next refresh on July 5th. On July 5th, applying a last 30 days filter selects data from June 5th to July 5th, which excludes June 1st. Since the latest June data uses June 1st as its date key, the report appears blank. To get accurate results, please use extended or custom time ranges when selecting your data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my report appear blank when I download it for the last month?

Issue: When you attempt to download a report for the previous month during the early days of the current month, you may encounter a blank report. The reason of blank report is the report’s Month key is set to reference the first day of each month. If the current month’s data is not populated and the previous month’s data excludes the first day, the report doesn't display any data.

Example: If today is February 5 and you try to download last month’s report, the system will pull data from January 5 to February 4. Because February’s data isn’t yet available and January 1 data is excluded, the report will be incomplete and appear blank.

Solution: To avoid this issue, we recommend using the custom date range feature during the first week of the month. You can manually select the exact timeframe for the report, ensuring that you include all the necessary data from the previous month. For instance, you can set the date range from January 1 to January 31 to get the complete report for January.
