Starts an application pool.

Syntax

oApplicationPool.Start  
oApplicationPool.Start();  

Parameters

This method takes no parameters.

Return Value

This method does not return a value.

Remarks

This method corresponds to the IIsApplicationPool.Start method in IIS 6.0.

Example

The following example starts the application pool named DefaultAppPool.

' Connect to the WMI WebAdministration namespace.  
Set oWebAdmin = GetObject("winmgmts:root\WebAdministration")  
  
' Specify the application pool.  
Set oAppPool = oWebAdmin.Get("ApplicationPool.Name='DefaultAppPool'")  
  
' Start the application pool.  
oAppPool.Start
