AddMedia Service Operation - Campaign Management

Adds the specified media to an account's asset library.

Depending on the type of Media, you can then add the media to one or more ImageAdExtension or ResponsiveAd objects.

Request Elements

The AddMediaRequest object defines the body and header elements of the service operation request. The elements must be in the same order as shown in the Request SOAP.

Unless otherwise noted below, all request elements are required.

AccountId The identifier of the account that owns the asset library. long

You can add a maximum of 10 media in a single call.

AuthenticationToken The OAuth access token that represents the credentials of a user who has permissions to Microsoft Advertising accounts.

CustomerAccountId The identifier of the ad account that owns or is associated with the entities in the request. This header element must have the same value as the AccountId body element when both are required. This element is required for most service operations, and as a best practice you should always set it.

Response Elements

The AddMediaResponse object defines the body and header elements of the service operation response. The elements are returned in the same order as shown in the Response SOAP.

MediaIds The identifiers of the media that you added to the library. You use the identifier to set the appropriate media ID field in the ImageAdExtension or ResponsiveAd object.

You can get the media indentifiers for image ad extensions and responsive ads with the GetMediaMetaDataByAccountId and GetMediaMetaDataByIds operations.
