I am looking to create a magazine/ fanzine presentation in Powerpoint Web Apps but need to do it in portrait not landscape.

How do I do this?

With the desktop version of PowerPoint you can change the presentation from landscape to portrait via the Design tab and then Slide Size (custom). The WebApp version of PowerPoint does not currently support this.

    Michael,

Don't think you can in the PowerPoint web app. Hope I am wrong though.

You will have to create it in the desktop version, then you can open and edit it in the web app.

Microsoft stinks. It used to be very easy to change from landscape to portrait orientation. Now in MS Office 2013 Power Point it seems impossible. How do I do that? Is MS planning to discourage users from using their software? I'm working on regular PC. How do I do that???>??

I don't have Powerpoint to use on my laptop but was able to save an Open Office Impress file as Powerpoint and can do it that way.

It doesn't really matter now though as I can't import/ add Word or Excel pages to Powerpoint Web App.

In fact I can't really do anything I was wanting to do in Powerpoint in the Web App. It is far too basic of a feature to be any use.

I shall try to work with Impress instead and just use the Powerpoint Web App to save and view.

I agree with Luc, it does not appear to be possible.

In the full version of Publisher (2013) you set the page size in the Design tab > Customize group > Slide size drop down.  That command is not available in the Web App.  It appears MS assumes that everyone uses landscape screens. Not true, since I'm posting this reply from a portrait screen <grin>.

The only possibility I could think of would be to start from a portrait template, but I don't see any way of providing custom templates to use in the Web app.  Sorry.

So Luc's suggestion of creating the Portrait file on a full copy of PowerPoint then uploading it to skydrive and using the web app to edit it from then on.

If you don't have access to a full copy, I can post a blank file if you tell me which template you want to use.
