-I have had this error with the groove.exe also. I have tried several repairs I have tried doing the command prompt and it says C:\programs is not a recognized command. I have tried the online repairs and quick repairs and it keeps creeping back up.

-I use Microsoft office 365 64-bit for school and so I have needed to spend more time on my homework then these errors.

this error has prevented programs from opening. and after trying to exit the error it just opens back up again no matter how many times I try to exit the error.

Can I please get help with this. I have re-installed office again, I have choose not to use skydrive. but I think I might run into this again.

I have just found an answer to the problem (20 minutes ago).  I had to go to the following location and rename the directory.  I then went to the One drive folder and restarted the sync.  It has created a new sync and all seems to be running again.

Folder to rename is c:\users{user name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\Spw

If you rename the Spw folder and then try resyncing it should ask you where and then start running.  nIt will then create a new Spw folder.

It seems that this gets corrupted and renaming it seems to sort everything out.  Only taken me 1.5 days to find this and try it out.  Hope it works for you.

    We carried out the following

    1. Stop syncing all OneDrive for Business folders (move away current folders to avoid duplicate renamed folders) for the client in question.
    2. Close all your Office processes, such as groove.exe which is OneDrive for Business, msouc.exe, msosync.exe, office library sync via Task manager.
    3. Remove the cache of the OneDrive for Business.
    • Close all your Office processes, such as groove.exe, msouc.exe, msosync.exe.
    • Browse to “C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\Spw” and delete all the content. You will see that this is all related to groove, and spw equals SharePoint Workspace.
    • Go to “C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\OfficeFileCache” and also delete all content from this folder. This is where all the caching from your files are stored.
    1. Uninstall OneDrive for Business and reinstall it to see if it could open normallly.
    2. Click Sync button in SharePoint Online to see if it could sync normally.

but after 2 weeks the issue has re-occurred

yeah I had tried a few things and it didn't work. I also have re-installed office 365 and I haven't had any problems yet. I am suspecting my computer was hacked or a virus was loaded into my ram. from listening to a radio station. I have installed some software to see if it will work. I am wondering if there is a vulnerability within sky drive for business. my normal one drive has been working just fine (I haven't had any problems with it) I have not installed or opened sky drive and I haven't had any problems. I have been just using the normal one drive.

This looks like the same error I have started to encounter and failing to find an answer to.  I have reinstalled the complete office 365 again and it still persists.  I have wasted most of the last two days trying to resolve it.
