I think the point is that if the lines actually printed, they'd print between the labels.

I am using MS Word 2007 label template for Avery 5163 product. Besides the contents of each label, I want to print each label border. I am able to make the borders visible, but when i print the labels, each label border does not print. How can i make the borders for each label print?

There are several for 5163; I assume yours is the first one? The one at http://bit.ly/kdiS1? Those are drawing objects (rounded rectangles) superimposed on the table. FWIW, the left and right edges would be cut off even on my LaserJet, which has a very small unprintable area.
If you have "Print drawings created in Word" enabled, the outlines should nominally print, but only in pale grey, and I think they're really only there to show the shape of the actual labels; I don't think they're meant to be part of the printout the way the designs are on the other templates such as, say, the Baby Shipping Label.

I think the point is that you have refused to answer the question, and refused to admit that you do not know the answer to the question.
It does not matter if or why you would not want to print the borders, it does matter that the original question was how to print the borders.
I hate to see these kind of non-answers in public forums and this one was just one too many, so I had to call it out.

Not afraid to admit when I don't know the answer.
Labels in Word are created using tables. By default they do not have borders. What you appear to be displaying are non-printing grid lines. If you want printable borders on your table, you will have to add borders to the cells of the table document from the Table Design tab on the ribbon.
Thank you. The template for Avery 5163 that I downloaded from their website contains thus said table with additional graphic objects sitting on top of each cell. Those graphics objects represent each individual label and they are set not to print. This is what I was referring to with my original question.
I'm a Word user but I'm not sure how this was done. Can graphic objects be set not to print?
