MS Office 2013 - Alternative to microsoft office picture manager?

Can anyone please recommend a free alternative to microsoft office picture manager?  I particularly want to re-size and crop pictures function.

    If you still have a license for Office 2010 you can do a custom install as well, and just install the Office Tools.  That's what I did.

    I rely and use often the Microsoft Office Picture Manager in Office 2010 to compress and move many pictures into Powerpoint (one picture per slide) with ease. Do you have any replacement for this?

    The loss of this function makes Office 2013 a no go for me.
