I need a Word template for a greeting card envelope sized 6 inches by 9 inches.  If my research is correct, that is also known as an A10 envelope.  Cannot find a template anywhere for that size.

Can you help??

A simpler alternative is to click the Options button in the Envelopes dialog, scroll to the bottom of the size list, and click Custom Size. That opens a smaller dialog where you can set the desired width and height.

The advantage is that you don't have to choose a custom page size in the printer driver (as long as the size is not larger than the printer's maximum). Also, if your printer feeds envelopes from a different tray than regular paper, that setup will automatically be included.

The disadvantage is that Word doesn't save custom size settings. To avoid having to enter the custom size each time, use the Add to Document button in the Envelopes dialog to make a blank envelope, and save it as a document or template file that you can reuse.

Yep, that's what I ended up doing.  Does it seem strange to anyone else that this very standard size envelope is not an available choice?

If it's just a plain return and sender address setup, you can create a custom page size in Word using PAGE LAYOUT>Size>Paper, then entering 6" in the Width and 9" in the Height fields. Then click on the Margins tab, set the orientation to Landscape and OK out.

If there is a fancier template you have in mind, but the size is wrong, you can download the template, change the page size using the above steps and then rearrange whatever graphics or text to fit the new size.

When you go to print the envelopes, you'll also have to create a custom page size in the printer driver. The exact steps will vary depending on your printer driver, but the basics are the same as setting the custom page in Word.

Thanks Jay. You can find the Envelopes dialog on the Mailings tab, click on the Envelopes icon.
