hi,

what will happen, if we convert 100 GB user mailbox to shared mail box. As per Microsoft documentation shared mailbox will switch to 50 GB by default. so will the rest of the data be just lost or will it just sit there with excess quota?
thanks

    Hi @Audi86 ,
The data will not be lost. If you have the Exchange Online Plan 2 license, it will work fine. If not, when you convert the user mailbox to shared mailbox, the shared mailbox could not send or receive emails.

    Hi @Audi86 ,
Neither removing the license, or converting to a shared mailbox remove the One Drive Files.
